My personal Moldavite obsession.

They say some people just resinate perfectly with Moldavite, and when you do, you know. I am definately one of those, as a starseed myself, wearing Moldavite makes me feel at home, and connected to my past home.

Reading through Judy Halls Crystal bible ( when it was first published) Moldavite was the piece i wanted, or lets say *needed.*

Information about Moldavite

From what i have studied, there are confirmed facts an that is that Moldavite is the result of a meteorite that fell about 14.5 million years ago and created the actual Nordlinger Reis Crater in Germany.
The heat that was travelling in front of the meteorite melted the silica in the ground and flung it high into the atmosphere and it landed back in the Czech Republic – which was a whopping 300 km away!
Some Moldavites even has  bubbles and the air inside the bubbles has since been scientifically tested and proved to be the atmospheric pressure at up to 20 miles above earth!

The total amount of Moldavite scattered around the world is estimated at approx 275 tons. There are now apparently only four moldavite mines that are in full operation in the Czech Republic. It is predicted that in less than ten years from now commercial Moldavite mining will come to an end. After this time, there will be virtually no appreciable amount of gem-grade Moldavite left in the ground.

There are typically two grades of moldavite: high quality, often referred to as museum grade, and regular grade. Museum and regular grade moldavite can be told apart by the way they look: The regular grade pieces are usually darker and more saturated in their green colour, and the surface is seen as closely spaced pitting or weathering. This type sometimes appears to have been broken apart from a larger chunk.

Moldavite is often a dull green /olive green tektite which as i said early was formed during a meteorite impact in the Nordlinger Reis Crater.  This word comes from the Greek word tektos, which means ‘melted’; and was first found by the geologist Franz Suess in the year 1900.  Moldavites are not part of a meteor, their chemical composition is what fits to the first sedimentary layers in the mother part of a crater. No typical elements known from meteorites are enriched in the Moldavite glass. Against many writers who like to sell Moldavites as meteorites, the facts show that it is a product of the fusion of a meteorite with the earth. Fact is, Moldavite is one of the rarest materials on earth.

Czech Moldavites hold an especially significant position among other particular tektites. These tektites are often more transparent and have  a variety of green shades. The significance of Moldavites as precious stones has declined with time.  More interest in Moldavites came about in the early 1980’s when a large number of new abundant deposits and occurrence sites were discovered during extensive geological research. At present, several dozens of moldavite occurrences and accumulations are recorded that can be considered as deposits suitable for exploitation. As i said earlier in around 10 years, this stone will become extinct.

Metaphysical Properties of Moldavite

Even those not usually sensitive to the energies of stones, often feel the energy of Moldavite because it’s undeniably powerful. Wearing, or simply holding, a piece of Moldavite can produce many interesting and instantaneous reactions and experiences including that of heat flashes and emanating heat in general, that can not only be felt by the wearer, but those around, energy jolts, and vibrations throughout the day. OK, i have been inandated with fabulous orgone feedback. So created this page. any feedback then contact me and i will pop it here!

I just wanted to share my exciting new of two of the small organite which I laid in my poinsettia plant. When I returned from Switzerland my poinsettia was half dead!  Also one of the shoots was already dead but I kept it and stuck it in besides the pain plant as felt sorry for it!  A few days later after visiting with you and you suggested to put two pieces of the small organite in my plant which I did.  So within a week maybe 2 days before my main plant is so much stronger and more greener!  But the exciting news is the dead cutting is getting green!  The dead parts are peeling off!!!  So I have saved the cutting too!” Anona- Dubai Marina
